Hello all you fine feathered folks! It’s that time of year again~! Are you excited? We’re excited! A palpable thrum of anticipation is running through the entire Village: We’re setting stuff aside for the sidewalk sale, prepping for the parade, and girding our guts for all the food and fun!
On Saturday, we start the day off right with the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, up in the Key Bank Parking Lot, from 8-11:30am. Eat up all those delicious carbs, because you’re going to need them for a long day in the sun!
While you’re chewing on that last bite of pancakey goodness, head on down to the main drag, and get yourself a good spot, because the Parade starts at 10am!
The Multnomah Arts Center has a Kid’s Zone and Craft Sale running from 9am-4pm, and a Beer & Wine Garden from 12pm-10pm; a perfect place to catch your breath and cool down after the noise and excitement of the parade.
On the other hand, if you’re still full-up on breakfast carbs, and looking to get an early start on your shopping – we have 120 vendors this year! – slip through the crowds and over to the Topanien Global Gifts Annual Sidewalk Sale! We have an amazing sale this year, and just can’t wait for you all to come see it! Come on over early to get first pick of the swank goodies.
Our Sidewalk Sale lasts all weekend, so if you don’t get your shopping itch scratched on Saturday, you can always come back and check us out again on Sunday!
“Wait,” you say to yourself. “Did they just say Sunday?” Why, yes we did! Everything up to now was just on Saturday! It wasn’t even all of Saturday, because the Village also has Live Music, Food Vendors, and Community Support Events.
“Okay,” you say. “So what’s on Sunday then?” Fortunately for your feet, Sunday is considerably more subdued than Saturday; aside from Topanien’s continuing Sidewalk Sale, the only major event on Sunday is the Multnomah Village Vine and Dine, running from 1pm-6pm on Sunday the 21st. Which sounds just perfect for a nice lazy Sunday, doesn’t it? We think so!
Hope to see you there!
