Klimt Throw Pillows are inspired by Gustav Klimt.Though not held to be an important artist in terms of his influence on others, Gustav Klimt nonetheless remains one of the most popular and well-known artists in the Art Nouveau movement. Klimt is best known for his beautiful, flowing paintings of women, and his extensive use of gold leaf, evoking a blatant sensuality and eroticism that was shocking to his late Victorian and early Edwardian audience. The use of ‘gold’ is seen in the Klimt Throw Pillows – Peacock series.
Kashmiri artisans work together in a cottage industry, handcrafting the entire piece from the design, to the wool, to the beautiful chain-stitch embroidery, the finest in the world. No child labor used and the pillow covers are made by highly skilled artisans making a living wage.
Hand embroidered with the traditional Crewel chain stitching of India, the Contemporary throw pillows create an inviting home or office. The Klimt inspired design on this pillow cover exhibits a multitude of colors and shapes in a pattern sure to delight.
