The Big Wave Off Kanagawa was painted by the Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai.  The original print version, (made of polychrome ink and color on paper)of the Asian Wave, is one of a series of 36 views of Mount Fuji created during the Edo period of Japan (1615-1868). This replication of the Asian Wave looks ready to come crashing right out of this book box!
