Positive Charge! At Topanien Global Gifts

The Positive Charge! group was formed in September of 2016 to combat negativity, and channel energy into effecting a positive change in the lives of the people in the community. Every month, Positive Charge! chooses a community project to support, and this July, Topanien Global Gifts is teaming up with Positive Charge to help support foster kids with special Welcome Kits.

What can you do to help us make a difference? It’s easy: Just come down to Topanien Global Gifts in Multnomah Village, and help fill the barrel outside with small items appropriate for 10-12-year-old children.

“Okay,” you say. “Sounds great! What can I bring?” Well. pretty much anything that is small enough to fit into a photo box, but especially:

  • Blank journals/drawing pads & markers or coloured pencils
  • Age-appropriate toiletries and accessories
  • Craft kits (such as beading kits)
  • Flashlights with batteries, watches, and other small practicalities
  • Hairbrushes and combs
  • Small, portable toys
  • Books
  • Snacks – but nothing perishable!

On July 30th, everything that we’ve gathered up will be taken over to the Sacred Money Studios & Prosperity Pie Shoppe just up the street, where, with help from community volunteers, Positive Charge! will assemble the Welcome Kits. Everyone is invited to come and help, and not just on the 30th; Positive Charge! meets regularly at the Sacred Money Studios & Prosperity Pie Shoppe, and you can check the Positive Charge Facebook page for the next meeting.

While you’re here, don’t forget to bring some cash to get your ‘In Our America, Love Wins’ signs, posters, bumper stickers, and postcards!
