David knows a good thing when he sees it!

Mezcal is a traditional Mexican alcohol. Like tequila, mezcal is made from the agave plant. Unlike tequila, however, which can only be made with the rare blue agave, mezcal can be made from any kind of agave. This leads to a wide variety of colours and flavours to choose from, and a lot of regional variation. Like any regional specialty, the people in the mezcal-making areas take great pride in their local products.

Here at Topanien, we’re happy to have been able to share this treat with all of you this spring!

Activist Conference - NWGSD

Listen. Learn. Lead.
Nasty Women Get Shit Done conference in May was a huge success. Workshops and speakers all day filled to capacity in downtown Portland.
Topics included The Struggle for Social Justice, Taking It to the Streets, Opening the Door to Equity, Strategies to Resist and more by superb speakers.  And, who showed up during our lunch as our surprise guest speaker? – Congressman Earl Blumenaur!  “It was a very motivational day where I garnered much information to maintain motivation and ideas for further activist work,” says Topanien Global Gifts owner, Nadine Lefkowitz.
